Seth Lesser

Seth Lesser has been a resident Chappaqua, New York since 1996.  He is married to Ellis Rosen Lesser and has four daughters – Lily, Molly, Annabelle and Caroline, all of whom are in the Chappaqua schools.  He has been involved in various matters of civic interest and is President of the Hillholme Association.

Seth Lesser and Ellis Rosen Lesser married in 1992.  At that time, Ellis A. Rosen was a 26 year old public relations associate at the Children’s Aid Society in New York while he was a 32 year old associate at the New York law firm of Davis Polk & Wardwell.  Rabbi Jack Bemporad officiated the wedding which was held at the Lotos Club in New York.

Ellis Rosen Lesser is a graduate of William Smith College and is the daughter of Dr. John F. Rosen of Greenwich, Conn., and Katharine Lardner of New York. She is also the stepdaughter of Margaret Rosen of Greenwich. Her father was the head of the pediatric metabolism division at the Montefiore Medical Centert in the Bronx. Ellis Rosen Lesser is also the great-granddaughter of Ring Lardner, the writer and the granddaughter of an Academy Award-winning screenwriter, Ring Lardner Jr.
Seth Lesser graduated from Princeton University as summa cum laude. He also received a doctorate in modern history from Oxford University in addition to a law degree from Harvard University. Seth Lesser is the son of Joseph and Arlyne Lesser of Cliffside Park, N.J.  Seth Lesser’s father, Joseph is the retired General Counsel of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and was a partner in the law firm of Waters, McPherson & McNeill in Secaucus, N.J. His mother was associated with New York University as an academic director in continuing education.
